DON LINN ---- Redding, California

Don has been quilting professionally for over 12 years. For the past 10 years he has taught machine quilting and piecing classes in addition to quilting for others. His clients include notable quilters Paula Nadelstern, Sharyn Craig, Sally Collins, Pat Collins to name just a few.

In the past he has been a guest on Simply Quilts and his work has been shown in several publications.  His quilts have won numerous awards in many shows. As time has passed Don has found that his true passion, in addition to creating his own work, is teaching others to machine quilt and to piece his curved designs.

EXPLORING CLASSIC AND CONTEMPORARY – Machine Quilting
This workshop will start with the basics of machine quilting and will build on this foundation. Students will do a variety of exercises in free-motion quilting from simple doodling to working on complex feathers then proceed to work on a whole cloth piece with premarked feathered designs or the option of marking their own contemporary whole cloth quilt top using designs that Don will have available. Each student is encouraged to work at their own pace as their ability develops. They will have lots of individual attention to help them overcome the fear and frustration of learning to machine quilt.

Machine.  All Levels.

Lab fee $50. Payable in class.
